This existing 300,000 sq ft facility was re-programmed from a manufacturing facility into a higher ed combined with a new high school for the Meridian School District. Structural modifications included a seismic analysis for alterations under IBC Cht 34 to add multiple new exterior openings in tilt-up panels for man doors, windows and OH doors. The roof alterations included adding large linear skylights while maintaining the existing design loads/capacities to minimize modifications to existing members. This large renovation and addition project included multi-phases over several contracts. Included was adding large second floors of approximately 80,000 square foot parts of this medical training facility includes lab spaces, such as a cadaver lab. These spaces included mounted equipment sensitive to vibrations that we considered within the vibration analysis.
